A space where youth engage in competitive play with popular video games. Through gameplay, participants develop skills like cooperation, resilience, strategy, and problem-solving—all while having fun. Incentives reward hard work and effort, reinforcing the value of dedication
Board Game Day
Board Game Day encourages youth to participate and engage with their peers. It teaches youth teamwork, friendly competition, and other skill building techniques.
Mindful Monday
Weekly Check-in where youth can talk about their weekend, their feelings, and they can do skill building activities that promote positive mental health coping strategies
Art Club
Youth utilize their creativity and imagination skills through their preplanned art activities or volunteer workshops.
Cooking Matters with Central District Health
Youth Rising and Central District Health are partnering to offer Cooking Matters classes for youth ages 11–17 on Mondays this summer. During these sessions, participants will learn about nutrition through fun food challenges and hands-on cooking activities while creating delicious dishes.
We ask that participants plan to attend at least six sessions if possible to get the most out of the program. If you are interested, please sign up for the dates you are able to attend. We understand that you may not be able to participate in every session; however, your RSVP helps us prepare the necessary materials and supplies. After registration, I will contact all participants regarding required waivers and consent forms.
