PeerPower offers 12 to 24-month externships to high school juniors and seniors interested in careers in mental health, behavioral health, and social services. Peer mentors gain valuable hands-on experience and explore their passion and potential career paths. Externs receive training in ACEs, tMHFA and portions of training from state-certified peer support specialist curriculum, equipping peer mentors with the knowledge and tools to make a real impact in the lives of youth ages 11-17.

You'll have the opportunity to positively influence and guide youth, helping them navigate challenges and providing crucial support in areas such as suicide prevention, depression, homelessness, violence, high school graduation, and workforce skills. By becoming a Peer Mentor, you'll be part of a community of change-makers who are actively working towards a better future for all.
